Fruit Logistica 2011 The fact that Modified Atmosphere Packaging helps keep fruit and vegetables fresh is becoming more and more evident – at the same time MAP is helping consumers to get convenient products. However, Modified Atmosphere Packaging without proper quality control spells trouble and at the same time is very costly both in terms of profit and brand. PBI-Dansensor is participating in this year’s Fruit Logistica trade show in Berlin to help manufacturers identify the most optimal quality control process for packing in MAP.
Many fresh salad products are packed in MAP on flow packaging machines, however, due to the nature of this packaging method a high gas consumption is very likely. At Fruit Logistica PBI-Dansensor will present our solution to reduce gas consumption – a sure way to increase quality and profit at the same time.
